Lenten Sermon Series: I Am: For Lent, we will examine who Jesus really is through a study of the “I Am” sayings of John’s Gospel. As Christians, we claim to follow Jesus. So who is it that we’re really following. Most of us think we know, but do we really. Let’s hear it from Jesus himself.
Lenten Bible Study: In conjunction with our sermon series, we will embark on a six-week study of John’s Gospel, focusing on Jesus’ “I am” sayings. Classes will be held Mondays at 7:00 (NOTE the new time), from February 19th through March 26th. Please sign up to show your interest either Sunday mornings at church or online [here].
Pre-planning Workshop: The Gabriels funeral home in Georgetown has volunteered to present this workshop to guide any who are interested through the why’s and in’s and out’s of planning for the death of a loved one. This isn’t the sort of thing you want to leave to the last minute, so please plan to join us for this important and informative workshop, which will be held Tuesday, March 22nd, from 6:30-7:30 pm at the church.
Good Friday Worship: We will be observing Good Friday with a worship service on Friday, March 30th at 6:30 PM.
Easter Worship: We will be celebrating Jesus’ resurrection on Sunday morning, April 1st at our usual time of 10:30. This year, we’re also going to do something new (or maybe not so new for those of you who have been here a while). We will also have a 30-minute sunrise service at 7:00. You’re going to want to catch both.
Encounter the Spirit Bible Study: The time between Easter and Pentecost is a time of waiting—a time when we wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. So, starting April 9th, we will begin a 7-week guided study aimed at helping us to understand and experience the Holy Spirit in our lives. It will be based on the book, “Encounter the Spirit,” by Carolyn Moore. I highly encourage everyone to participate in this study!
Easter Egg Hunt: We’ll be having an Easter egg hunt at the church on Easter morning at 9:30. Make sure to bring your kids and tell your neighbors. Since we’ll probably be using more eggs than the last few years, we could use some help stuffing them. If you’d like to help out, please get with Lizzy Fuller at
Fired Up! Sermon Series: In conjunction with our “Encounter the Spirit” Bible study and in anticipation of Pentecost, we will look at places in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, where the Holy Spirit showed up and how that impacts our lives. This series will start April 22nd.
