The Jarrell Community Food Pantry and Clothes Closet are open the second and forth Sunday of each month from Noon until 2 PM. The pantry is located in the portable building on the north side of the church (at 404 1st Street). If you know of someone who could benefit from the pantry, please share this information and encourage them to participate.
In the 2+ years of the pantry’s operation, we have been the hands and feet of Christ for hundreds of families in need. If you are interested in helping out with the Pantry, contact Brenda Cooper at BCooper647@aol.com or Dianne Johns at email@example.com.
The Clothes Closet is located upstairs in the church thanks to the efforts of Elizabeth Fuller. If you have donations of quality used clothing, please contact Priscilla King at 512-818-1137.
Anyone with a need is invited to stop in on the same days as the food pantry.
We also organize a Christmas outreach event that provides gifts to children who might not otherwise receive them. All of the families have been adopted but we still need volunteers to help with last-minute shopping. Everyone is invited to help out with the gift pickup on December 10th, from 2-4. If you’d like to bring Christmas cookies, juice or napkins, that would be great. And if you have any questions, you can contact Tammi Cooper at Tammircooper@gmail.com.
Meals on Wheels
In addition to these projects, we are also working with the Williamson County Meals on Wheels to provide meals to those who, because of age or mobility issues, are unable to provide for themselves. Our route is every Monday. If you are interested in helping out with this ministry, you can contact Reba Dunnam at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On top of all that, we are in the beginning stages of establishing a ministry to the students of our high school and elementary school. The high school has a program known as “The Locker,” which provides school supplies, clothes, personal hygiene products and other necessities to students who need them. They are always looking for donations. Also, there are many students at all levels in need of mentors to provide a positive adult presence in their lives. If you are interested in any of these activities, you can contact pastor Tommy at email@example.com.
