Community Involvement

Sometimes we need to be reminded that it’s not all about us. It’s about us making sure folks who don’t know Jesus have an opportunity to learn about his love for us. And that’s what our Outreach committee is all about. And we’ve got several opportunities coming up where you can share in that mission.

The Jarrell Community Food Pantry and Clothes Closet are open the second and forth Sunday of each month from Noon until 2 PM. The pantry is located in the portable building on the north side of the church (at 404 1st Street).  If you know of someone who could benefit from the pantry, please share this information and encourage them to participate.

In the 2+ years of the pantry’s operation, we have been the hands and feet of Christ for hundreds of families in need. If you are interested in helping out with the Pantry, contact Brenda Cooper at or Dianne Johns at

The Clothes Closet is located upstairs in the church thanks to the efforts of Elizabeth Fuller. If you have donations of quality used clothing, please contact Priscilla King at 512-818-1137.

Anyone with a need is invited to stop in on the same days as the food pantry.

 Meals on Wheels

In addition to these projects, we are also working with the Williamson County Meals on Wheels to provide meals to those who, because of age or mobility issues, are unable to provide for themselves. Our route is every Monday. If you are interested in helping out with this ministry, you can contact Reba Dunnam at

The Locker

On top of all that, we are in the beginning stages of establishing a ministry to the students of our high school and elementary school. The high school has a program known as “The Locker,” which provides school supplies, clothes, personal hygiene products and other necessities to students who need them. They are always looking for donations. Also, there are many students at all levels in need of mentors to provide a positive adult presence in their lives. If you are interested in any of these activities, you can contact pastor Tommy at

 Outreach Committee

The Outreach committee met last Sunday to discuss ongoing and upcoming initiatives. We are excited about what the new year has in store. As always, we could use your help. Get involved and have fun in the process!

Community Easter Egg Hunt
March 31st from 2:00 to 5:00. This even it put on by Jarrell Has Heart and we are one of the sponsors. It is an excellent opportunity for us to increase our visibility in the community, especially to young families. Please consider joining us there to hand out flyers, run a booth, help with the bouncy house, or just hang out and have fun.

Teacher Appreciation
Teacher appreciation week is the week of May 6th. That week we will be doing something to show our appreciation for the teachers in this district. If you’d like to help out with this effort, please contact Pastor Tommy at
We are excited to report that we now have a Nurture committee. Priscilla King and Liane Hubbard have volunteered to head up this group, which is focused primarily on taking care of those within the congregation, letting them know we’re thinking about them and love them. If you feel this is your sort of ministry, please get with Liane at or Priscilla at And for sure, if you know someone who could use a little support, someone who may be sick, or someone who’s in the hospital, let one of them know so we can reach out to them.
